In the section of this website titled Extraordinary Coulditbes I questioned the “theories” for the disappearances that were suggested by the best known Bermuda Triangle Mysteryans, but then I remembered I had heard similar logic and questions being asked by some of my favorite people – friends with whom I had spent many hours over a number of years. Friends whose judgment I always trusted, whose picture is here in my office. Following is a conversation I particularly remember:
Lt. Worf: It is a highly localized distortion of the time-space continuum.
Dr. Crusher: We think we may have an explanation for the odd occurrences around here.
Commander LaForge: Somehow we’ve entered what seems to be a temporal causality loop. We think we’re stuck in a specific fragment in time and that we’ve been repeating that same fragment over and over again.
Captain Pickard: If you’re right about this, how did it happen? How did we get there?

Kusche: Do you think maybe they were being sucked into the dreaded Bermuda Triangle but somehow escaped its grasp?
